About Me

Hi! I'm Katie! I am a Utah based wedding and portrait photographer! I am a stay at home mom and lover of photography, travel, reading, and music. I was born and raised in Utah and married the love of my life 6 years ago. We now have a little girl and baby boy that keep us  laughing and smiling all day long with another one on the way! 

 

I graduated from BYU with a Bachelor's degree in Genetics and Biotechnology and worked in a forensics lab for one year. When I got pregnant with our first, I decided that I needed to be home with my baby, so I gave up my genetics career path and put my life on a different course, not knowing exactly what I would do, just that things needed to change. Little did I know that my single photography class at BYU had set me up for an amazing career. 

 

One summer a friend asked if I would photograph their wedding and I said yes, even though I had never done a wedding before. After that first experience I was hooked! Not long after I created a website, started posting my work on social media, and learning everything I could. Now I've been taking people's photos for 4 years!

By pursuing my photography business I have been able to not only meet amazing people and celebrate their lives with them, but I've been able to fulfill my life-long love of creativity and I'm loving every minute of it! Photography has become my creative outlet that allows me to express myself while still being able to care for my sweet kids. And, most importantly, I'm able to capture the precious life moments of other people and turn them into permanent and beautiful works of art they can enjoy for years to come!

It is my mission to make sure we tell your story so that you have special keepsakes from each stage of your life. Whether that's marriage, pregnancy, babies, family photos, graduations, or a celebration I am here to capture it all!
